Khader Humied received his BS at the School of Architecture and Environmental Design, City College of New York, in 1996. He was the University Architect at Baruch College, CUNY, New York, NY, from 1996 until 2000, where he was in charge of Design, Construction Management, and Space Management for the college campus. Since 2000, Mr. Humied has been the director of MetaForm Studio, Inc., an eco-friendly architecture and design company. His work has been included in numerous publications (New York Spaces, Dwell, ID Magazine, Wall Street Journal, among others) as well as exhibitions. Mr. Humied has worked on many green home designs. He was a participant in the Guggenheim Musem competition for Sustainable Shelter in 2009. Mr. Humied was involved in a post-war reconstruction project of Mostar, Bosnia, which took place in Istanbul, Turkey. He also worked as a research assistant on the New York Masjid project, a book and exhibit about New York City mosques. He has travelled extensively in the United States and visited numerous sustainable design communities and green projects. He is currently teaching architecture and design to elementary through high school students as well as working as an architectural consultant in New York.
He is an expert in Autocad, Sketch Up and other drawing and rendering programs.
